Privacy Policy
Last updated October 3, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Arctix Lighting collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
01Information we collect
When you request an estimate, we collect the information you give us:
- Your name, email address and mobile phone number.
- The address of the property you want lit, including city, province and postal code.
- The type of property and when you would like it installed.
- The appointment time you choose and your time zone.
- Your consent to receive text messages, with the wording you agreed to and when you agreed.
We also collect some information automatically when you use this site:
- How you reached us, such as the ad or link you clicked, including campaign tags and advertising click identifiers.
- Technical details such as your IP address, browser type and device type.
- Cookies that remember which campaign brought you here and that measure whether our advertising works.
02How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Prepare your estimate, including measuring your roofline from satellite and aerial imagery of the address you provide.
- Book, confirm and remind you of your estimate call.
- Contact you by text, phone or email about your estimate, your installation and service after it.
- Measure and improve our advertising and this website.
- Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
We collect only what we need for these purposes, and we do not sell your personal information.
03Text messages
If you tick the consent box, you agree to receive text messages from Arctix Lighting about your estimate and your project. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not cancel an estimate or an appointment you have booked.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying anything from us.
04How we share information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do that work:
- Our customer relationship and scheduling platform, which stores your details and appointment and sends our messages.
- Our website hosting and analytics provider.
- Advertising platforms, such as Meta, which receive limited and hashed details so we can measure which ads lead to estimate requests.
- Installers and suppliers, when needed to complete a job you have agreed to.
- Payment processors, if you make a purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, other than the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
05Cookies and advertising
This site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember which campaign referred you and to measure advertising results. This includes the Meta pixel and, if enabled, Google Analytics.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The estimate form will still work, though we may not be able to connect your request to the ad that brought you here.
06Where your information is stored
Some of our service providers store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and law enforcement.
07How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to service a system we installed and to meet legal and tax requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
08How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access limited to people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we have used it.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Stop contacting you for marketing, or withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits.
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
10Children
This site is intended for adults who own or manage property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
